Well, whats to tell? MunkyC were initially hatched by serendipitous events in April 2005. A mix of various musicians wanting to get together and formulate original music that made people get down and shake their tush, air-guitar, air drum or ideally, all of the above. Matt Pain (Moo) arrived as a dazed and confused Pohm in Jan 05, clutching a few riffs hed snuck through Customs and quickly put out a distress signal to musos who could help him bring them to life in a new environment. Thankfully, messages came back from various Brisbane hidey-holes and over the next 6 months, songs were written and MunkyC forged a contagious groove. Loosely described as Alternative Funk-Rock, the band decided on a baptism of fire by using the Queensland Rock Awards in November 2005 as the first public airing of their funky laundry.
