MUTE are an acoustic-electro duo that combine the vocal lyricism of Rod Begbie with Mark Smythe's classical-tinged arrangements. Since January 2008, Rod and Mark have shared an urbane, dark-ish sensitivity that's reflected in their music and performances. MUTE launched their Debut EP 'Love/Hate' at The Empress, Melbourne in December 2008. The sophomore album will be out in late summer '09.
