An RNB singer songwriter with a name that means Lion's Mane, MWA was born in Zambia but spent most of her childhood in Johannesburg and Melbourne. MWA's (pronounced Mwah) interest in singing was born out of boredom on a family trip to her home country Zambia at age seven. She began writing songs at age thirteen and began performing at age fourteen. Her influences include Rihanna, Beyonce and The Weekend. She has performed at prestigious venues such as at the Whitehorse Festival and at the Kaleide Theatre in Melbourne CBD. in In 2018, she began recording with Melbourne based producer Michael Cooper and released her debut single 'Hawaii Healing' in April 2019.MWA is working on a music video for Hawaii Healing and is writing new music with a producer hot off the Melbourne DJ circuit.
