N2W. HOMETOWN – Shellharbour/Port Macquarie. twitter @its_mibs @djfrags A DJ from Port Macquarie on the mid north coast crosses paths with an MC from Shellharbour and through a shared passion to create original music the group N2W was born. The MC was Mibs, a hard working family man born and raised in Campbeltown and now resides in Shellharbour. He first got in to hip hop through his older brother back in the 90’s before moving on to Punk and Hardcore learning guitar and joining a few high school bands along the way. Flash forward and to a soundtrack of Delta, Hunter, Bias B, the Hilltop Hoods, Downsyde, Funkoars, Ugly Duckling and J5 Mibs returned to the art form we love as front man for N2W. The DJ was Frags, a surfer, a demon on the decks a man from a place he calls ‘gods country’ also known as the mid north coast of NSW. Frags is a laid back guy and when asked what got him in to hip hop he simply replied ‘the beats got me’ and if you’re a fan of true hip hop you can expect one
