Nao Yoshioka is one of the rarest things in music: a true soul singer. After moving to New York, she found her voice through the influence of Sam Cooke, Aretha Franklin, and Whitney Houston. She has performed at Blue Note, London Jazz Cafe, Java Jazz Festival, and Capital Jazz Fest, and became the first Japanese artist to chart on Billboard's UAC chart. Her sixth album, self, was released in 2026.
