Narrownecks are a Blue Mountains-based old-time string band formed by David Hoffmann and Harry O’Donovan. Drawing on the traditional music of Appalachia, the duo combines driving fiddle and banjo melodies with intricate fingerstyle guitar and close vocal harmonies. David is a second-generation old-time musician from the USA, while Harry has studied banjo, fiddle and guitar with musicians in both Australia and the United States. Together they bring an intimate, energetic and distinctly contemporary Australian voice to an old musical tradition.
