After touring the east coast of Australia in ’22 and receiving national and international airplay of their single ‘Bohemian Driftwood’, NASCENT are hitting the road again with a new record. ‘Tails From The Vault’. Think of the energy of pop-punk, the grit of grunge and the swagger of rock ‘n’ roll. NASCENT’s live show is full of engagement, fun and energy. Promising big drums, guitars, analogue synth and Tim’s unmistakable fierce vocals. After taking over and renovating ‘Magpie Studios’ in Armidale, Tim set out producing ‘Tails From The Vault’ with the band: “The studio is in an old bank, the main control room being the former vault. Down stairs functions as a book shop 9-5pm, but after hours I use the space to track drums and other instruments. I did most of the pre-production for the record with Danl (Drums) before we got the whole band in. One of the singles is ‘Chicks Dig Bitches’ ie Dogs and, yeah it’s the first full record to be recorded entirely at the studio, hence the name…” – Tim Godwin Due for release in October, it touches on social commentary, however in light hearted tongue in cheek way. Only a trace of the former angsts’ NASCENT’s 1st single ‘Coroner Killed Rock’ and Tim’s and Armitage Shanks’ (Bass) former group The Social Norm. A much more polished and accessible record, bold enough for rockers, but slick enough for the charts. Available on all streaming platforms as well as limited run of CD’s and merch.
