Born in Sydney in 1990, Nathan Cole was thrust into a very musical family. Though neither of his parents played musical instruments, they were avid music fans, exposing Nathan to music legends including Eric Clapton and BB King whilst still in the womb. Growing up, Nathan’s musical education continued with further influence from his godfather, Sydney-based Musician / Singer-Songwriter Shane Flew, who he would later perform with on many occasions. Singing in his primary school choir, along with a combined schools Opera House choir in 2002, would see Nathan’s first steps into the world of musical performance. Nathan’s love for music expanded when he learned the tenor saxophone at age 11. He continued playing the saxophone for the next three years until he began to teach himself how to play the keyboard.
