Seemingly hewn from Bellarine Peninsula basalt, Seeckts’ vocal is imbued with all the heart worn grit of Steve Earle, grounding songs that are alternately heaving, shivering and jangling with feeling. One of Australia’s most passionate and honest songwriters, Nathan Seeckts delivers music that is dripping with raw country truth. His songs could find him comfortably at home in any bar from Melbourne to Memphis. 2019 saw Nathan Seeckts take the Australian country music scene by storm; starting with the release of Old Blood, the first taste from his long-awaited debut album The Heart Of The City. The single was instantly picked up for play by Double J, Twang on RRR, ABC Evenings, as well as Acid Country and 5 Feet High & Rising on PBS. It was added to rotation on ABC Country, where it remained one of the top 10 most played songs on the station for the next 3 months. Mid-2023 will see the release of his highly-anticipated follow up album.
