At school, I played in a band called Savage Messiah, with Dave Faulkner (of Hoodoo Gurus fame). After school, we played in a duo called "Dave and I", playing a bunch of Neil Young, Tom Waits and JJ Cale songs. In late 1976, the first Ramones album was released and Perth's first punk band, The Cheap Nasties, was formed by my friend, Kim Salmon. When Kim left to form the Scientists, the band regrouped to become The Manikins. That all ended in 1981, when I left The Manikins. There was then an interim period, of 40 years or so, when life intervened. These days, I write and record songs almost every day, and occasionally release them. I very rarely perform. I hope you like the songs.
