Neolight is a electro/pop band based in Perth, Western Australia and features singer songwriter Mel Crothers. Mel has teamed up with long time friend, musician and music producer Gavin Kerr to create a fresh, new sound. Neolight draws inspiration from a range of genres and artists including Goldfrapp, Jill Scott, Imogen Heap and Plej. They have explored varied musical styles in their songs from the multi-layered synthesizers of the 80s in ‘By The End Of The Day’ that conjure up images of neon leg warmers to the more mellow Jazz influenced songs such as ‘Deeper’ that allow you to drift away to quiet place. Their live shows can consist of anything from a full 6 piece band to a more intimate acoustic duo but are always exciting and dynamic. And with their background in jazz you never know what amazing moments of improvisation you'll experience. Neolight’s album was officially launched on 6th October, 2011 to a sell out crowed at Wolfe Lane Bar, Perth.
