Nerida left her hometown of Sydney at 17, for the open skies and vivid colours of western NSW. Nerida is passionate about the Australian landscape, which breathes through her songs with the invitation for her audiences to open their hearts to beauty and to hope. Nerida’s performances are generous and fun, but equally reflect her empathetic heart for people. Detailed guitar accompanies her warm & passionate voice. She’s played in many different contexts and places, from outback tin sheds to ancient English pubs, to folk festivals to firesides. She's been writing songs for over 30 years, lived in her small country town for 23 years, embedded in the life of her local community. She’s also experienced more than her fair share of grief and trauma; leading to a 7 yr dark night of the soul, a deep soil from which more songs of hope, resilience and humanity have grown.
