The pilots formed in February 2005, Mantis shed her wings and a sound was cultivated in Melbourne town. Five Strangers James Morrison, Lauren jensen, Matt Sabell, Rueben Duffy & Igor Pelka begin their flight together through music - A wonderful world of funky original rock reggae and sexy soulful sounds. The music holds the foundations of jazz, blues, reggae, Latin , Skip hop & Folk. Not confined by one style the ear travels to many places, A handful of delicious talents and a taste for music - makes for an exotic night. A justice of sound living breathing music. The Nervous Pilots have been playing in Melbourne for 4 years, in the back corners of every dark and dingy bar pub an club in the city. From the corner where they had their first E.P launch2006 to the top steps of the State Library for a peace rally 2008 year long residency at the GB Great Britain in 2006, 2007 Noise tv on ch 31 just to name a few. Living in the underground. The sound is gritty, blusey, funk, hip hop soul. The Pilots love to get the crowd up, moving and shaking. The band has contracted and changed dynamic over the years. People have come and gone but the Pilots remain the same... always ready to leap out of the nest. ..
