The fourth album to be released on Ali MC's own label Raspect Records, URBAN CLEANSING is an album of bass heavy global beats and tribal rhythms from the streets of Bristol and the slums of Haiti, to the red dirt of remote Aboriginal communities. Among those featured are producers Mikal (UK), DJ Ceiba (Puerto Rico/ New York) and Missile (Australia) as well as spoken word artist Abe Nouk (Sudan), with cover artwork by renowned street stencil artist ELK. At the controls of the dub/ hiphop/ world music collective New Dub City since 2010, Ali MC has produced 4 albums, a 7-inch single, and a short film dubumentary of a three-week tour to remote Aboriginal communities in the Top End. As well as running New Dub City, Ali MC is also the author of the 'punk rock travel book' The Eyeball End, an avid photographer, Master's of Human Rights Law student, and works in remote Aboriginal communities producing desert dub reggae sung in Pitjantjatjara language. www.alimc.com.au www.newdubcity.com
