Indie – acoustic outfit NEWPORT began in 2005 as the solo project of singer/songwriter Matthew Knight. After the debut release of ‘These fairgrounds I once loved’ (2006) & hitting the cafes and venues of his hometown, NEWPORT has found a steady rise to an ever warming reception. The recruitment of bassist Jeremy O’Connor, guitarist Chris Lennon and most recently drummer Justin Rouillon has seen the gentle migration toward expanding the horizons of NEWPORT as a band whilst continuing to sprout the sweetest of sounds and acoustically anchored delights. Enjoy.
