Hailing from Melbourne, Australia, 19-year-old producer Nic Mason has his sights set high. Picking up the clarinet at age 9, Nic was virtually unaware of electronic music for the first 14 years of his life, despite years of live sound mixing for local productions and shows. At age 15, Nic met a group of fellow students who would share electronic music in their school library before class. Captivated by the sound design and pure energy of Monstercat mainstays such as PIXL, Fractal, and 7 Minutes Dead, Nic quickly developed a fascination for the world of EDM. Less than two weeks after being introduced, Nic began experimenting with creating music of his own, motivated by the wave of new sounds on offer. Beginning his solo endeavours in 2017, Nic draws inspiration from the world around him – both the natural and the engineered – to create music which not only shares the experiences of the people living within it, but to inspire others to be the best they can be.
