In Feb 2004, blues and roots muso John Loss and pop-rocker Nicole Howard got together with a mutual interest in alternative country music. After trying to piece together an obscure and diverse repertoire for a number of months, Nicole began writing her own material in December that year. With only a few basic guitar chords, she penned over 50 tunes in the following 12 months. In May 2005 Roy joined the line up, delivering a little more bang to the sound with his electric guitar and Dobro, contributing significantly to many of Nicole’s compositions. The lineup continued to grow with Bill (double bass) joining towards the end of 2005, and was completed in August 2006 by Matt bringing vibrancy to the music with his red-hot fiddle playing.
