Through the ritual of drone and the ceremony of modulation, Night Rites create dynamic and rhythmic textures that build and decay in an oscillating projection of dark psychedelia. Reforming in 2021 through a mutual love of vintage instruments and effects, Night Rites was born of late night ideas dreamt up backstage in some of Adelaide’s most loved music venues. Following a successful 2022 which saw the release of debut single Dark Patterns and a number of live performances including the sold out show with veteran psych rockers Tumbleweed (NSW), Night Rites are ready to release their debut EP Den. Mixed and Mastered by Brett Orrison (Jack White / The Black Angels) and Owen Penglis (Goliath / Straight Arrows), Den takes the listener through a dark world, a landscape molded by dark driving synths, textured guitars and hypnotic rhythms. Den is set for release on the 27th of Jan 2023 with Night Rites planning a number of shows over the coming months to support the release.
