Nighteyes is the solo project of New Zealand-born, Melbourne-based songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Rachel Trainor. Inspired by artists such as Chelsea Wolfe, Emma Ruth Rundle, Darkher, and Stevie Nicks, Nighteyes blurs genre boundaries, fusing electronic beats with the haunting resonance of doom-inspired guitars and ethereal vocals. She finds inspiration in the depths of profound emotions, the ever-changing canvas of the skies, and her personal voyage through the intricate tapestry of both the external world and inner realms. Nighteyes' first single "Lowlight", along with an accompanying music video, was released in March 2022. Her next single ‘In The Wake’ was released in February 2023 to coincide with ‘The Defiant’ - a contemporary circus show that both "In The Wake" and "Lowlight" feature in. Nighteyes released the third single ‘Plenty’ from her upcoming album ‘The Way Back Down’ on October 20th 2023. ‘The Way Back Down’ will be out November 10, 2023.
