From the creative mind of musician Luke Johnson (<a href="https://www.triplejunearthed.com/artist/synaescope">Synaescope</a>, <a href="https://www.triplejunearthed.com/artist/it-was-earth-all-along">It Was Earth All Along</a>), Nightmares of The Sun applies the heaviest and most melodic elements of progressive metal inspired by his love of bands like Opeth, Ihsahn and Porcupine Tree to create an instrumental journey in a retro sci-fi inspired concept. Pushing himself to explore soundscapes outside of the more traditional and melodic death metal that he is known for, Luke has embraced electronic elements, incorporating not only retro keys and mellotrons but an array of synths, drum machines, sound fx, and strings to create a detailed sonic landscape in which to work. The debut album from Nightmares of The Sun will be released July 2019.
