Nina in Ecstasy is the solo music project of queer, Adelaide-based singer, songwriter and producer Em König. For the past three years, Em has been establishing themself an accomplished poet and musician. They have toured nationally as the lead singer of electronic duo GIRL and their debut full-length poetry collection ‘Breathing Plural’ will be released in 2020 by Cordite books. As a member of GIRL, Em’s music has been played on national radio (including on Double J and Triple J), has featured on Amrap Airit’s Metropolitan top 10 chart and has twice been nominated for South Australian Music Awards in the experimental and pop categories. Nina in Ecstasy sees Em take a slightly different musical direction from past projects. An entirely solo endeavour, you can expect existential pop for the apocalypse and beyond.
