Melbourne-based singer-songwriter and 2023 APRA Screen Music Awards award-nominee Nir Tsfaty makes his solo debut with his work UNDER THE SUN. The EP is an intimate reflection of 2020 life and expands Tsfaty's artistry with a blend of soft alternative rock songs centred around a classical string quartet. Tsfaty has previously released three albums with his bands Noria and Bell Always: Anthers EP, Clear Backgrounds and Daylight Slowly Fades. Three of the album singles earned the Song of the Week title on Israeli national radio 88fm. Since relocating to Melbourne in 2019, Tsfaty has collaborated with Invictus Quartet, performing a series of headline shows titled About Whales, with sold-out nights at Melbourne Recital Centre and Wesley Anne. He serves as Music Director at Production Alley Studios, contributing to award-winning advertising projects. In 2023, Tsfaty earned a nomination at the APRA Screen Music Awards for his Scorpion Ascent soundtrack.
