No Nomad formed in 2018 in Perth/Boorloo, Western Australia and the 6-piece have since crafted a blend of soul, jazz, and alternative influences into a dynamic sound of their own. Following acclaimed debut single Find Some Friends, the band released their Kayak EP in 2019. Across 2020 and 2021 the band’s following and songcraft grew, becoming established in the local live scene with headline shows, notable support slots and festival appearances. Subterrain / Arctic Beauty Kiwi and Ghost / I Get Scared were released on local label Rockton Records, earning airplay and features from Triple J, RTRFM, FBi, 4ZZZ, Pilerats and more. At the end of 2022, the band recorded new music that would become their new album Handstand. The new songs were recorded in a rented cabin nestled in WA’s southern forests, with a DIY approach extended to collaboration in remixes by 700 FEEL and Ben Aguero. The record releases October 25 and is available for pre-order on limited edition green vinyl.
