Noise Kartel is the freshest offering of musical talent on the Melbourne music scene, and promises to reacquaint the non-commercial listener with a style of rock that has been almost forgotten in this day and age. This five piece rock band from the eastern suburbs of Melbourne have recorded and mixed a new EP titled "The Damage is Done", which was released in March 2008. The band was established 5 years ago by four like-minded high-school musicians. Originally called 'Gauge', the band has come a long way since its high-school days, losing and then gaining a lead singer, and more recently gaining a guitarist. The band, who now consists of Perry K (lead vocals), Joel Petersen (guitar), Ben Ehrenberg (guitar), Robbie Casley (drums), and Rohan Laing (bass), have played various venues around Melbourne, and have established a reputation for exciting and energetic live sets, supporting acts such as The Butterfly Effect, Mammal, The Screaming Jets, Grinspoon, Shihad, and Evermore.
