Northern Lights began as Dustin Schmidt's brainchild. After self-recording some demos, Dustin began writing and recording new material which eventually became their debut EP 'Happy'. They went through several lineup changes before solidifying the group with Angie Petersen on Backing Vocals and Tambourine, Jazz Wright on drums and Bailey Petersen on Bass. Since playing their first show in March 2017, Northern Lights have played all around Brisbane and Ipswich and have embarked on a short tour of the East Coast of Australia. The band have been working hard on new material, releasing their new single 'Take Your Time' on November 4 2019 before following it up with 'The Ecstasy and the Agony' on January 20
