Notes from the avenue
Matty Jay goes under the alias of "Notes from the Avenue"..a creative collective of acoustic melodies intertwined through simple arrangements and raw, heartfelt lyrics of times gone by and places we would rather be. Taking inspiration from artists like Dallas Green, Dave Matthews Band and Dashboard Confessional, these songs take you on a journey through one artists creative yet sometimes sporadic mind. Enjoy the tunes.
NOTES FROM THE AVENUE... is the musical exploration project of muso, singer songwriter Matty Jay. THE ACOUSTIC E.P....is a raw, acoustic driven collection of original songs and recordings...one guitar, some alternative tunings and a few whirlies. THE ACOUSTIC E.P...represents flavours of my inspiration from Dallas green, Death cab for cutie, Dashboard confessional and Dave Matthews Band. It also reflects my passion for the most basic and raw ingredients of songwriting - a simple story, be it love lost, travels, dreams or others...all collected within catchy melodies and guitar rhythms.
