NOTHING are a 3 piece Melbourne based metal outfit who toured nationally, supporting such artist as: Amon Amarth, Children of Bodom and Five Finger Death Punch. Continually evolving from their beginnings as a 4 piece thrash influenced band NOTHING have returned from hiatus with a progressive metal sound drawing from a wider range of influences with no song writing boundaries.
This song was written in the hope of encouraging those who might be considering taking there own life to seek help and talk about what they are going through. I lost my best friend and artistic collaborator, Blue Boy ( Peter Costello ( artist and composer)) many years ago, and more recently my beloved nephew Jayson ( jay bird ) Duffy, to suicide. I never really got over the lose of my friend and had pretty much given up on my aspirations musically as a result of his passing, and the lose of my first born nephew brought all those unresolved emotions flooding back. I have visited some dark dark places in life and suffer from PTSD so I understand first hand and I have witnessed others ( loved ones ) in the grips of depression as well...
