Wielding an array of drum breaks, Nug Chompah casts sample-based beats into the ether, creating a circuit-bent melodic melange. On top of this, tales of an environment tormented are spun with a global duck and weave of references hard-earned from a life on the road. "Living life in fast motion It’s a slippery slope Skimmed across vast oceans On a rickety boat The kinda style Ignorant hope Missing the float Too many greedy, sinister folk I never found a proper home Figured out on my own It’s deep inside my bones Not a physical abode" With a musical upbringing consisting of a "dysfunctional trombone, much maligned" matched with an early proclivity for UK dance music from the 90's and beyond, Nug Chompah creates a truly unique blend of Hip-Hop and Drum and Bass, coming to you live from Australia.
