Nyssa and Alex are a brother/sister duo who play acoustic pop and French music. They have a chilled and relaxed style with the cello giving a unique sound, playing both bass and melodic lines. Nyssa’s voice is delightfully pure and unaffected and their harmonies float, reminiscent of Simon and Garfunkel. Their influences include Ed Sheeran and Gabrielle Applin. Nyssa (19) plays guitar and sings while and her brother Alex (17) plays cello and sings harmony. They play regularly at weddings, restaurants, festivals and markets. They have their CD “Joie de Vivre” available on iTunes. Last year Nyssa's French cover of ‘Andalouse’ by Kendji reached over one million views and she was asked to participate in ‘The Voice’ in France. The French pop star Tal also tweeted about their covers and Nyssa and Alex have now reached a large following in France. Nyssa and Alex recently played at the exclusive wedding for league star Sam Burgess in Bowral.
