(((o|o))) emerged in the middle of 2019 with an EP entitled pas de bébé featuring mysterious drones, ghostly washes and ambient tones producing a tenebrous oeuvre. Interest and support from community radio resulted in airplay, but also a recurring question from on-air announcers: How do you pronounce (((o|o))) over the airwaves? With no suggestion regarding the pronunciation given, the ball was put back into the court of the radio announcers and others to come up with something. Many suggestions were offered, with UK Bristol-based independent label Limbo Tapes putting forward the name of 'Dead Stare'. 'The Creature of Badlands' is a sneak-peek preview track from the forthcoming debut full-length album by (((o|o))) entitled 'The Quiet Game' scheduled for release via Bandcamp on Monday July 13 2020.
