Occupants is a one man project from Brisbane, Australia , which has been active since early 2011. Thomas Mitford Lilley performs and produces all of the music and released two EP’s in 2012. The first EP, ‘Uno’, has been summarised as ‘Chino Moreno has a love-child with Trent Reznor in the back of Rolf Harris’ camper van.’ The second EP, ‘The Aviator’ was released in July and was written, recorded, mixed and mastered over a month at his home studio in Brisbane. By contrast, ‘The Aviator’ is a sidestep into more melodic territory, with songs that could only be described as Doom Pop, weaved in between revolutionary and almost partisan-like narratives. Both EP’s are available on Bandcamp.com on a ‘Pay What You Want’ model.
