Ocdantar is the new guise for Joshua Delaney. The frontman and producer in ambient electronic group Rat & Co and bassist in local Melbourne rockers SMILE, it seems a natural progression for Joshua step forward and bring forth his own tunes under a solo alias. Over the past two years Joshua has lent his production skills to Total Giovanni, ESESE, IO, Boats and works closely with mixing magician Andrei Eremin and sound sorcerer Simon Lam. Sky Sea Client View was written on a shinkansen between Tokyo and Kyoto. The Japanese landscape passed the train window as Ocdantar first fused the floating synths and cinematic swells together. Possessing a ghostly energy, newcomer to Smooch Records LIAHONA breathes her otherworldly vocals into the song coaxing “all in for you”, alongside eerie drones.
