Made up of three Erisian Priests, Ocean of Eris mixes prog-rock, Gypsy-Jazz, psyche-punk and latino flavours to create a sound that has been compared to a pod of orcas swimming through the vacuum of outer space. Influenced by earthlings such as The Mars Volta, Tom Waits, Isis and Einstürzende Neubauten it is not unusual to hear a 7/8 prog riff immediately followed by a beer hall-esque Polka. After several successful shows in Newtown, the three decided to record a demo which quickly turned into an EP to be known as The John Dorian EP. The EP chronicles a man working his 40 hour week, living to work, only to unleash his complacency of life on an innocent metropolis, later waking to regret it. The EP will be self-released in a limited run in the coming lunar calendar. With Ocean of Eris, the art is not taken to heart and whistling never rendered while pissing.
