Oiseau (pronounced Wah-zo) is the solo project of Melbourne-based musician and producer Marieca Page. Hailing from Brisbane, Australia, Marieca played in numerous bands over the last two decades, most notably drums for Iron On and Aheadphonehome before moving to Canada.  Returning to Australia in 2012, Marieca began venturing back into audio pursuits, including sound for film projects, recording and co-producing Melbourne-based outfit Dark Fair with Adalita (Poison City Records), and writing, producing and playing all instruments and vocals on her first LP Soft Geography. The first single released off the album is A Faithful. The single, like much of the album, is lush Dream Pop for late night drives. Throwing up sounds reminiscent of early Eurhythmics, School of Seven Bells, and Poliça. Oiseau's sound is a connection of warm, melodic, groove-orientated vibes with experimental textures - tonally rich, and often combining glitchy electronics with acoustic instrumentation.
