Some good things come from hardship. Art requires simple engaging provocation... The Opus Grand is a progressive rock band based in Sydney Australia and bases its sound on cinematic themes. Formed by a psychologist and an airline pilot, songwriters Damon Royds and Adam Saddington began writing music again after a long hiatus. Royds a musician previously in the band Worldstatic, Saddington a guitarist from a previous independent collaboration focused on his flying career until illness struck in 2012. It was coincidence that Royds was working at the distribution centre for the drugs that treated Saddington's illness. The only thing left to do after the cure was to not let the dormant songs sleep. Opus Grand is the sound of the triumph of tragedy, the spoils of war. A band formed to provoke pure inspiration
