Known for her catchy indie-pop melodies and fun sense of style, Perth-based singer-songwriter Ornella blends many genres into her sound with Hayley Williams, Dido and Vera Blue being some of her biggest inspirations as a female artist. Recently, from a pool of over 13,000 entrants, her single Bags received an Honourable Mention in the Adult Alternative Album category, and it also placed third overall in the Music Video category for the International Songwriting Competition of 2025. Also in 2025, the West Australian Music Showcase had a countdown of the top 100 songs written by WA artists and Bags was voted in at 35th position in The Western 100! The Bags EP will be releasing 26.06.26 containing a trilogy of songs that show an honest self-reflection and maturity in Ornella’s songwriting as well as the reasons for the bags under her eyes.

Ornella, hailing from Busselton Western Australia, has stepped onto the stages of the South-West, bringing with her a dreamy side to the exciting world of alt-pop. Female performers such as Vera Blue and Hayley Williams (PARAMORE) inspire Ornella to think outside of the box when creating her own music, with some saying she is comparable to Lana Del Ray. Her songs take on a dream like quality with honest lyrics and catchy choruses. The full band (formed late 2019) combines these traits with bright, bold guitar riffs, complimentary and solid bass and drum, and a whole lot of passion bringing the music to life.
