Save Our Ithaca Creek A stagnate basin for storm water run-off that has lost its way, Ithaca Creek meanders between a major arterial thoroughfare and the semi-industrial and surburban backlots of Ashgrove and Bardon. Home to more than seventeen different varieties of long obsolete tyre manufacture, the creek offers little support to native flora or fauna - and is a better place for it. A refuge from the righteous boasting of recolonised green tree frogs in a post 'Clean up Australia' Australia, Our Ithaca Creek gave a home to these songs in much the same fashion as it gave shelter to the frontier carriers of the 1994 Ross River Fever pandemic.
