Born, raised and residing in Berkeley, CA, Owen Roberts is an old soul songwriter. Drawing influences from Motown to Memphis and Greenwich Village , Owen's music spans a range styles and geography. Using acoustic and electric instruments, Roberts carves harmony and rhythm from his poetry and performs with a lucid energy. The SF Chronicle calls his music "visceral" and "perfectly Californian."
