Turk, mostly known then as Muz (short for Muslim), got himself a $7 microphone from a local Opp Shop and recorded raps on some generic computer program to show us boys on the bus to school. He'd rap in an American accent and mostly made diss tracks about girls from school. Muz would do his rap, then slap it over a beat, being off-time didn't bother us, it was all about the grimey rhymes. It took him a while to realise that he could import the beat into the program first and record his raps to it that way. As a youngster, figuring out how to actually rap on a beat was the best thing ever, and we progressed from there.
