After releasing three EPs over the past three years, one of which, So There You Are You See, went to #1 on the SAMIA Charts, he recently recorded and released his first full length album 30: My Minute Songs. As the name of the album suggest, 30: My Minute Songs is a collection of 30 one minute songs that Palky wrote over the course of 6 months in 2010 and 2011. The album deals with a broad range of subjects, like the supposed impending apocalypse, a song about his mate Yates, being struck by lightning, his girlfriend’s unwillingness to join Facebook, the story of a girl and a boy falling in love at a metal concert ... and the love he has for his 50cc scooter – amongst other things. Each song is its own little story – encapsulated and rocked for one minute. The one minute pop song is like looking through a key hole into a well decorated room – you know there is lots more inside but you will only ever get a glimpse. Palky is a solo acoustic musician who plays a quirky brand of indie
