Pandarus is a 2 piece Pop/Rock band from Sydney. Beginning as a solo recording project of Andrew Read back in 2011, PANDARUS is stepping things up with the addition of Bobby Lowry on drums and the release of a PANDARUS double A-side ‘My Baby Isn’t Dead/Sun Don’t Shine’. With this new 2 piece formation PANDARUS have merged elements of blues, grunge and pop into their very own sound, writing new tracks and reworking songs from the debut PANDARUS EP to fit the new style. ‘My Baby Isn’t Dead/Sun Don’t Shine’ was recorded and mixed by Andrew Read and mastered by Nathan Johnson at Mixosmosis. Both tracks have a classic lo-fi sound, with smooth vocal distortion and are filled with catchy group vocal hooks and melodies. It is available from the PANDARUS Bandcamp page, along with the Debut EP, which contains the track ‘She’, which received airplay on Triple J Unearthed Radio and an early version of ‘Sun Don’t Shine’.
