After forming in late 2011 PANTS OPTIONAL quickly gained momentum and began drawing fans due to their hard working attitude and original sound. After less then two months on the scene they played their first show as support for punk royalty GUTTERMOUTH (USA) and not long after secured a place as the main support for Aussie heavy hitters FRENZAL RHOMB on their central coast stop of their national tour. Pants optional are known for their fast paced, energetic live shows and unique style that draws influence from all aspects of the punk/hardcore scene. Although the band delivers a positive message through their lyrics,by addressing political and social issues they don't like to take themselves too seriously. "I think that addressing issues that everyone can relate to is a good way to send a positive message but at the same time, we play music because we like to. We want to make sure we still have fun otherwise it's easy to get bord with what you're doing" -Dale-bass/backups.
