Hailing from the country, Paper sky was formed in Melbourne in 2011 after long-time musical collaborators Erin and Pete hooked up with guitarist Evan while studying contemporary/ jazz music at NMIT. When Pete realised his housemate Cat could play three instruments at once, she had no choice but to join the band. Proudly pop with a hint of blues and jazz, Paper Sky's sound can be likened to that of Fiest or Sia, and is influenced by the likes of Radiohead, Bjork, Jeff Buckley and Ainslie Wills. Combining distinctive vocals, tight four-part harmonies and mesmorising guitar with tasteful piano, soulful drumming and soaring violin, Paper Sky create blissful, melt-in-your-mouth tunes that will leave you toe-tapping and aching to hear more.
