With both artists in this indie folk duo originating from Melbourne, it wasn’t till the move to Darwin that saw Paper Windmills starting to form. With a strong folk and country background Lauren Hill draws on her background and life experiences for her lyrics and incorporating her life and Darwin to help tell a story through song. Andy coming from a different background of indie and punk incorporates many chord progressions and melodies from his musical experience. Starting by playing a few simple covers, Paper Windmills was formed along the shores of Darwin and has progressed over the course of the year. With a simple combination of guitar and vocals, Paper Windmills creates a sound that is sure to help unwind and inspire.
