Passiv Ana was born at the start of 2005 after its members Brad, Dave C and Greg got back together to play after 12 months break from the now dead Aberration. Kirmy and Dave G were recruited to create a five piece band and help build a fuller, stronger sound. The name Passiv Ana was decided upon by all the members after much deliberation and deep thinking. Song writing began, with the band focusing on writing songs which captured the emotion and intent of the topics being dealt with and not with the intention of capturing any genre. It is this ideal that perhaps has lead to the creation of songs with widely varying sounds. We continue to rehearse and to write and along the way we are continuing to define the sound that is Passiv Ana.
