Paul Berwick (guitar), songwriter for Sydney’s late 1980s favourites Happy Hate Me Nots has teamed up with old friends Matt Galvin (guitar), Jim Dickson (bass) and Nick Kennedy (drums) to produce new original songs with a strong mix of acoustic/electric guitars and rock solid rhythm. This band has a wealth of experience (Happy Hate Me Nots, Radio Birdman, New Christs, Knievel, Big Heavy Stuff, Died Pretty, The Orange Humble Band, Settlement….the list goes on but we will leave it there! While they have shared stages together at one point or another (and even played together in the same bands at various points in their careers), this is the first time this combination has come together, making it unique. After spending some time away from music after the Happy Hate Me Nots called it a day in 2012, Paul is back writing songs, with melody on the brain, stories to tell and acoustic guitar in hand. With Matt Galvin on electric guitar, they rekindle the intertwining guitar magic from when they both played in the reformed Happy Hate Me Nots from 2007 to 2012. Jim Dickson on bass and Nick Kennedy on drums make those songs move and swing… big time.
