Paul has been playing guitar since the age of twelve. At 16, and after dropping out of school, Paul embarked on a busking tour of the eastern coast. The former foster child wanted to try making it on his own, just to see if he could. At 18 years old and clean after 4 years of daily drug use, Paul returned to high school to finish his senior studies and joined the band "Under Contract" where he performed a series of fondly-remembered destroy-the-guitar solos, the band won the 2003 Arts Queensland Youth Injected Songwriting Award. Paul went on to be a founding member of Gold Coast punk band Don’t Tempt Thieves, recording a 6-song EP as the band’s guitarist. in 2009 the University of Tasmania recognised Paul as a true musician and allowed him to study, regardless of the fact he never finished high school. Paul Graduated with a Bachelor of Music from the Queensland Conservatorium of Music, Griffith University. He will spend the next year writing an album with drummer Mitchell Benham, a
