Platypus is the recently released debut LP from Port Macquarie rascals Pelican Itch. A solid offering of modern punk and rock, the album sees their style expanded and diversified from the raw garage sound of the 2013 EP Adopted Brothers. Recorded by Michael Lynch at Shoehorse Studios in Beechwood, Platypus showcases the quartet's ability to effortlessly shift gears through a range of rock genres and, along with their energetic live performances, firmly cements their reputation as versatile and dynamic up-and-comers amongst Australian guitar bands. The guys have also released a video for the album's first single, Sacre Bleu. It features ice cream, an inflatable boat and a perverted ventriloquist doll. Platypus is out now on Itunes.
