Since she was 10 years old, Penny Ivy has been writing poems and rhymes. Playing with words was her way of expression and release, until she began learning to play instruments and realised her poems were turning into songs. At 23, she moved from her home town in Brisbane, Australia, to the pop capital of the world, Stockholm, Sweden. Within a week, Penny signed a publishing deal and experienced her first ever writing sessions. She spent the next 4 years living in Sweden, honing her craft and building a network amongst other writers and producers around the world. In 2018 she returned to home soil a confident writer and artist. She quickly made connections in the Australian industry and began delving into sessions there. Penny strives to create music from her experiences, past and present. Painful and positive. Most recently Penny scored the opportunity to write with Example (UK) and James Angus (Carmouflage Rose, Toby Hobart) which turned into a whole album - it's out now!
