It took a chance meeting in an Economics class to get Hobart musician Sam Power and music producer Stuart Newman talking. Once they did, they realised they had more in common than assignments. Sam and Stuart began discussing music, recording and production and they haven’t looked back since. Power and Josh Fry, who have been playing music together since they were kids in Launceston, were previously in The Apostles of M and played gigs around Tasmania before disbanding in 2008. Their refined song-writing skills and multi faceted musicianship has coupled perfectly with Newman’s production methods. Now the pair form Persona, and with Stuart’s help behind the mixing desk, have just finished recording five tracks for their upcoming EP, Long Night. Newman has worked with multi-award winning producer Ricky Ho (www.rickyho.com) on feature films in Hong Kong, Beijing and Singapore, toured extensively through the middle east and Asia, and produced albums and singles for artists in Australia,

Originating from the Perth hills and now subsiding in the flats of Joondalup, you'll find Persona smashing together sounds of all types of music.
